We are group of computer professionals that are passionate about enabling consumers to make educated decisions on how to protect their computers against vulnerabilities. Alcatraz Security was started after doing product reviews, and providing opinion, by the request of friends and family to help them protect their computers.
Alcatraz Security designs practical ways of testing real world situations that can effect computers and test the results. The results are posted and compared to other products of the same type. We know the review is only as good as the reviewer, so weve added the functionality of users and other testers to add comments and corrections to the results posted by the Alcatraz Security review team.
We try our best to make our reviews ethical and real-world and do not change our results based monetary compensation. We believe reading reviews is an important step to making a decision, and it our hope our reviews add perspective and a degree of testing that is hard to find without actually purchasing the product.
